Driving down the road, then bang or boom or whoosh! Tire blowout! That could be your tire giving up on you. And the result after could be you either ending up on the road deserted or in a ditch. We won’t want that, right? A tire blowout is one of the dangerous automotive emergencies you could ever face.
How do you tell there is a tire blowout?
1. Car slows down
2. Pulls strongly to the right or left depending on the tire that burst
If your front tire bursts, you should feel the effect of the force, especially within the steering of your car. If the rear tire is affected, you should feel the impact of the burst in the seat or body of your vehicle. Whichever way, you need to attend to both as an emergency.
The solution to a blowout is to drive through it safely? How do you do that?
WHAT TO DO DURING A TIRE BLOWOUT
To be safe during a blowout, you must recognise the first tip first: Calm down. Fear will cripple you or probably whisper some into your head, but you need to be calm, at least on the surface, to reasonably handle a blowout. That’s why it is necessary you learn to prevent it even before it started. So, let’s go straight to the points.
1. Hold firm your grip on your steering.
2. Don’t slam on the brakes because doing this will put you in more danger since the tire that should take on the pressure has blown out.
3. Allow your car to slow down gradually.
4. Be sure the road is safe before getting down
5. Activate your emergency road flashes.
